What we collect, and what we never do

Your calls stay on your device

When you make a call on Today’s question, the call is saved in your own browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser storage deletes it completely.

The one thing we do collect: a grade-alert email

If you ask to hear when a question is graded, we store the email address you give us, the question id, and the time. That is the only personal information this form collects. We do not store your call, your IP address, or your browser alongside it. We do not send that email yet. When grading by email launches, the note will be one message about that question, not a marketing list.

If you sign in

Signing in with Google lets you follow stories. We receive your name and email address from Google to run your account, and we store the stories you follow so they are waiting when you come back.

Ordinary server records

Like every website, our hosting keeps standard server logs (pages requested, times, and technical details) for a limited period to run and protect the site, and we use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to count visits. We do not build advertising profiles.

Never

We never sell personal data. We never send marketing email. The grade-alert form stores an address. It does not send mail.

Removal

To be removed, email harsha@morrowfly.com from the address you want deleted. We delete the record and confirm by reply. There is no unsubscribe link, because no grade email is sent yet.
